In-Person Running Form Analysis & Coaching

Fitness matters, but how you move matters too. Inefficient running mechanics can increase energy cost, limit performance, and contribute to injury risk over time. Considering you take thousands of strides on every run, even small improvements in form can lead to meaningful gains in speed and durability.

 

Despite this, technique work is often underemphasized in distance running. Many runners follow detailed training plans without ever being taught how to run better. This in-person running form session is designed to close that gap with individualized, practical coaching you can immediately apply to your training.

What Makes This Session Different

Rather than a clinical, treadmill-based gait analysis, your form is assessed outdoors, in real running conditions. In-person instruction provides an emphasis on movement efficiency, motor learning, and long-term transfer to your day-to-day training.

 

You’ll receive:

  • A clear assessment of your current running mechanics

  • Simple, effective cues that make sense while you run

  • Individualized drills designed to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary load

The goal isn’t to force a “perfect” running style, but to help you move better within your own structure, improving performance and reducing injury risk.

How it works

Step 1:
You provide short running videos from the side and front/back.

Step 2:
I analyze your stride and identify key opportunities for improvement, selecting drills and cues specific to your mechanics

Step 3:
We meet in person to review your form, practice targeted drills, and apply changes with real-time feedback. Sessions last 45–60 minutes and take place outdoors in central Calgary.

Step 4:
After the session, you’ll receive a follow-up email summarizing key findings, along with recommended drills and cues to integrate into your training.

Cost

$185 + GST
